Fulltime Head Chef Wanted

The Royal Hotel Mandurama located in on the Mid Western Highway, Mandurama is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced fulltime Head Chef.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, professional, and passionate Head Chef at a family-owned pub. Looking for someone with a positive and nurturing attitude to bring innovation and attention to detail to this role. You will get a chance to build and organise your own menu and maintaining a culture of great customer care & service.

• Annual Wage $ 65.000 - $ 70.000

 

The role will require you to help in developing and leading a kitchen to consistently deliver high-quality food, with responsibility for the food production for other venues as well.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrated ability to lead your team through a smooth, organised service

• Bring innovation and attention to detail

• Ability to contribute to menu planning and development of daily and weekly specials

• Timely and effective service of high-quality food

• Ability to assist managing the cost of goods, wage targets and shift management

• Stock management including ordering, rotation, and wastage control

• Cert IV Commercial Cookery or other relevant qualification

• At least 2 years relevant experience in a similar role

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Experience in designing and implementing menus

• An understanding of food costings

• A positive and professional demeanor
